TekJeep AI (“we,” “us”) runs the site at tekjeep.com. This page explains what we collect and why.
What we collect
- Chat context you enter — year, model, mods, and questions you send to the AI, so we can answer. Do not paste passwords, VINs you want kept private, or other sensitive IDs unless you accept that risk.
- Community posts — if you use Community chat, messages and guest display names may be stored (currently via Firebase) so others can see them.
- Local device storage — chat history may be saved in your browser (localStorage) so it persists on that device.
- Basic analytics — if we enable analytics (for example Plausible or Google Analytics), we may collect page views, approximate location, device/browser type, and referrer. Configure this section to match the tool you actually install.
- Affiliate clicks — outbound product links (Amazon, eBay, and similar) may set cookies or track referrals under those merchants’ policies.
How we use it
To run the AI assistant, improve answers, operate Community features, measure traffic, and earn affiliate commissions when you buy through our links.
Third parties
We use infrastructure providers such as Cloudflare (hosting/CDN), a Cloudflare Worker for chat, Firebase for Community, and merchant affiliate networks. Their privacy policies apply to data they process.
Cookies
We may use essential cookies for the site to function, plus analytics or affiliate cookies when those features are enabled.
