Will 35-inch tires fit a JK with a 2.5-inch lift?

Fitment answer · Updated October 23, 2026

Short answer

Yes, many JK owners do it, but it is a tight fit. Expect to need the right wheel backspacing, bump stop extensions, and often trimmed or flat fenders to avoid rubbing at full flex.

What you usually need

Regearing

The JK 3.6 and especially the earlier 3.8 lose noticeable performance on 35s with stock gears. Many owners regear for 35s to restore acceleration and highway drivability. Compare your options in the calculator.
