Will 37-inch tires fit a JK Wrangler with a 3.5-inch lift?

Fitment answer · Updated October 23, 2026

Short answer

Usually only with trimming. A 3.5-inch lift is at the low end for 37s on a JK. Many owners go 4 inches or more, or accept fender trimming or flat fenders, bump stop changes and wheels with the right backspacing. Plan on regearing and stronger steering parts.

What you usually need

Regearing

37s are a very large jump on a JK, especially with the 3.6 or the earlier 3.8 engine. Most owners regear (often to around 4.88 or 5.13) to recover acceleration, highway RPM and crawl ratio. Run your numbers in the calculator before buying gears.
