Will 35-inch tires fit a JL Wrangler with a 2-inch lift?
Fitment answer · Updated October 27, 2026
Short answer
Often, with the right wheels and bump stops. Many JL owners fit 35s on about 2 inches of lift using wheels with less backspacing and bump stop extensions. Non-Rubicon JLs may still see some rubbing at full flex.

What you usually need
- A 2-inch lift or spacer kit.
- Bump stops and wheels with about 4.5-inch backspacing or less.
- An alignment.
Regearing
Non-Rubicon JLs usually regear to 4.56 or 4.88 for 35s. Compare ratios in the Tire & Gear Calculator before you buy gears.
