Will 35-inch tires fit a JL Wrangler Unlimited Sahara?
Fitment answer · Updated October 27, 2026
Short answer
With a small lift, yes. Most Sahara owners fit 35s with around a 2 to 2.5-inch lift, wheels with less backspacing and bump stop extensions. On stock suspension, 35s usually rub at full flex.

What you usually need
- A 2 to 2.5-inch lift.
- Wheels with less backspacing than the factory Sahara wheels.
- Bump stops sized to the lift and an alignment.
Regearing
Many Saharas have 3.45 or 3.73 gears; with 35s on a 4-door, regearing to around 4.56 or 4.88 is common. Compare ratios in the Tire & Gear Calculator before you buy gears.
