Will 35-inch tires fit a 4-door JK Wrangler Unlimited?
Fitment answer · Updated October 27, 2026
Short answer
Usually with a small lift. 35s on a stock JK Unlimited rub the fenders and control arms at flex and full lock. Most owners add about 2.5 inches of lift, bump stops and lower-backspacing wheels. The heavier 4-door feels 35s on stock gears, especially with the 3.8 V6.

What you usually need
- About 2.5 inches of lift with matching bump stops.
- Wheels with about 4.5-inch backspacing.
- Trimmed or high-clearance fenders if you flex hard.
- An alignment and a tie rod check.
Regearing
35s on a 4-door JK with 3.21 or 3.73 gears feel slow; 4.56 or 4.88 is the usual fix. Compare ratios in the Tire & Gear Calculator before you buy gears.
