Will 37-inch tires fit a Jeep JK with a 3-inch lift?
Fitment answer · Updated October 27, 2026
Short answer
Only with trimming. 37s on a 3-inch JK usually need high-clearance or flat fenders, longer bump stops and low-backspacing wheels, and you give up some flex. Many owners lift 4 inches or more for 37s.
Shop the gear for this build ↓ Tires, deflators and a compressor picked for this setup.
What you usually need
- High-clearance or flat fenders, or trimmed stock flares.
- Bump stop extensions sized for 37s.
- Wheels with about 4.5-inch backspacing or less, plus upgraded steering.
Regearing
37s on a JK usually call for 4.88 or 5.13 gears; stock Dana 30 front axles are a weak point. Compare ratios in the Tire & Gear Calculator before you buy gears.
