Will 37-inch tires fit a stock JK Wrangler?
Fitment answer · Updated October 27, 2026
Short answer
No for real-world use. A stock JK has nowhere near the room for 37s; they hit the fenders, control arms and frame. JK owners on 37s usually run 3.5 inches of lift or more, flat or high-clearance fenders, stronger steering and a regear.

What you usually need
- A lift of roughly 3.5 inches or more, with bump stops sized to it.
- Flat or high-clearance fenders; the stock flares are the main limit.
- Low-backspacing wheels and heavy-duty tie rod and drag link.
- Inspection of the stock Dana 30 front axle, which is weak for 37s.
Regearing
37s on a JK almost always call for 4.88 or 5.13 gears, especially with the 3.8 V6. Compare ratios in the Tire & Gear Calculator before you buy gears.
